International Mutual Recognition
China national accreditation system for conformity assessment has been a part of international accreditation multilateral recognition system, and is playing an important role in it.
CNAS was the accreditation body member of International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC),as well as the member of Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC). Up to now, 59 accreditation bodies have signed IAF MLA. Meanwhile, 85 laboratory accreditation bodies from 70 economies have signed ILAC MRA.
Current Development
By the end of June 2014, CNAS has totally issued 136 certification bodies in various fields. These certification bodies have issued over 800,000 accredited certificates, among which the number of certificates of QMS and the number of certified enterprises rank first in the world. CNAS has totally accredited 6113 laboratories, including 5154 testing laboratories, 725 calibration laboratories, 158 medical laboratories, 55 Bio-safety laboratories, 9 reference material producers and 32 providers of proficiency testing . CNAS has totally accredited 388 inspection bodies.
